Time: The Scarce Resource

Time is the  Scarce Resource. You can use it wisely, but you cannot buy it.  I have been yearning to post on the site several topics that I think would interest you, but probably like most of you, time does not always allow me to do all that I desire.  I often wish that I was one of those people that only needed six hours of sleep a night.  I thought that I would be able to live with less sleep as I got older, but it seems that with each new baby I have needed to add 15 to 20 minutes extra to my sleeping schedule!  I look for ways to add time in my life, but time is just one of those scarce resources that I do not have enough of.

I am trying to soak in all the fun and excitement that the past few weeks have afforded to me and my family.  We have been on the move to say the least.  I was honored and surprised to get 45 minutes of air time with Rick and Bubba last Friday morning.

 I loved talking about sustainable living.  We talked about hunting, preserving, growing gardens, hydroponics, GMO’s, foraging, and preparing great foods from local and natural resources.  Many people contacted me with questions after the show and came to my book signing the next day with an excitement to learn more.  There are no words to explain the connections that I made with like-minded people.

I had one day of rest, Sunday, and then it was back to work.  We continued to have school despite the crazy schedule.  Tuesday, the crew from Wisconsin flew in for the last few details of my sustainable living DVD’s.

 Today I am enjoying my family to the fullest.  We have hiked, practiced our photography, and laughed together.  Does life get any better than that?  My family is terribly fun to be with.  I am proud to know them all.
